Electric guitar players will learn open chords, barre chords, power chords, tablature, rhythmic notation, and more as they learn to play riffs, licks, solos and popular classic rock songs from bands like Santana, Boston, The Eagles, Dire Straits, Aerosmith, AC/DC, Rush, Tom Petty, KISS, Bob Seger, and of course, (YOUR Favorite Band).
As students advance in their guitar lessons they will learn scales, music theory, and lead guitar soloing techniques!
Acoustic players will learn to pick and strum, read rhythms and tablature, and play fingerstyle guitar.
Learn to play note-for-note acoustic classics such as Dust in the WInd, Hotel California, Crazy On You, Blackbird, Sister Golden Hair, Space Oddity, and so many more!
Bass players will learn to read rhythms and tablature, as they learn famous iconic bass lines including Money, Hotel California, Silly Love Songs, Whipping Post, Detroit Rock City, Roxanne, YYZ. Finger style plucking, using a pick, notes on the fretboard, music theory, and creating your own bass lines.
Students are invited to send a video clip of themselves playing material from their most recent lesson. They will receive feedback and tips to help them improve. This can make the time between lessons more productive, and help with any difficulties you might be having without having to wait until the next lesson.
Your instructor is well-versed in the history of all eras of most popular music forms including rock, pop, country and more.
Many of our students enjoy learning about the legendary players and artists they encounter as they learn songs and music styles from different eras.
Show us your skills! Virtual Open Mic Jam nights give students who want to perform an opportunity to share their talents and see what other students are playing. Perform for other students around the country, without leaving home!
-concert performance is not required. You can always just show up to listen to the cool jams!
